Whether it’s letters, catalogs, mail shots, or bulk mail — Deutsche Post transports over 25 billion letters for its business customers each year. To optimize its internal and external processes, Deutsche Post has developed an electronic order management system (OM) in cooperation with Capgemini sd&m.

The OM system is the central information platform: It links Deutsche Post’s customers and their service providers, as well as its internal management, marketing, billing, transport, and customer service departments. The OM system facilitates a smooth process chain from order planning to delivery and checking through to billing, whilst at the same time making an important contribution to customer satisfaction as a professional and technical innovation.
